"Las Lunas" Stud Farm was created in January 2005 due to its owners' hard work and passion for horses, as is also the case for the “Vila Equestrian Centre”founded in the year 2000.

"Las Lunas" Stud Farm has as its objectivethe breeding of well-performing and noble horses within the traditions of the Purebred Spanish Horse, and also of the Arab horse, given its owners’ enthusiasm for this breed also. The aim is to acquire animals suitable for any of the equestrian disciplines.It is with this purpose in mind that a constant effort is made to improve the quality of the horses day by day so as to reach the objectives fixed.

The "Las Lunas" Stud Farm is situated in the municipality of Sant Esteve de Palautordera (province of Barcelona), in the heart of the Natural Park of Montseny. It shares over 6 hectares with the Hípica Can Vila Can Vila Equestrian Centre, which offers dressage training (classical dressage, harnessing, show jumping and eventing), rides and excursions in the Montseny, a riding school for children and adults, in addition to a full livery service.

Our location ensures the ideal natural surroundings for the horses, with a herd that has steadily increased in quality and quantity until the situation today when we have over a hundred horses, the most outstanding among them being in particular the Purebred Spanish Horses, the Lusitanian and Arab horses, and the American Paint Horse.

Thanks to its careful selection of animals and the results of its constant team-work, "Las Lunas" Stud Farm has in a period of very few years earned an outstanding reputation as being one of the best stud farms in Spain. Thanks to all of this, a sizeable number of prizes and distinctions have been won over the last few years, which witness to its good performance and the high quality of its work.
